Relais Grand Tour B&B in Florence

When me and my husband opened the Relais Grand Tour B&B Inn,  we asked ourselves: what I dould like to find in a B&B room located into the historic center of Florence?

I’d like to feel at home, the answer was. 

And here we are: elegant rooms but not pretentious equippement. The ancient majolicas, the hand-made lamps decorated with dry-flowers, the orginal floors, together with the decorated ceilings, ivory walls… We furnished the rooms and the suites of the Relais Grand Tour accomodation as our home.

Overall, our home is an integrant part of the accomodations we offer, so why make it different? We wanted our guests to share with us an elegant florentine home athmosphere.

Talking about home, I have to say that we choose our place to live and work at the bed and breakfast in the area among Academy Gallery, San Lorenzo Market and the Duomo because this is the area where florentine still live, and where life is vibrant.

And, each day, I can walk in front of the Michelangelo’s David at the Academy Gallery, admire the magnificent Duomo cathedral, enjoy the funny crowded streets of the famous San Lorenzo Market…

Since we both are food and wine lovers, our B&B Relais Grand Tour is the perfect location to reach the main Florence Food Market in just 2 minutes walk. A 2 storey grey and red building where you can find fresh fruit, meat, vegetables, mushrooms, panini, handmade pasta, beefsteaks, olive oils from Tuscany, and the best tuscan wines like the Brunello…

The seasonal fresh fuit we offer to our guests at the arrival is coming directly from the market!

Living in the same place with guests means that ones can find us at anytime, since our home is located on the 2nd floor, where there are 3 of our 7 guestrooms.

The suites are located downstairs, at the 1st floor, and they have the patio, where our guests love to chit-chat and sip a good glass of wine.

How many people became friends thanks to our patio? Maybe much more than I know…

We started in the 2001, with just 3 double rooms, and we dind’t expect a great experience like this! In 8 years we met so many people from all world, and shared with them opinions, suggestions, books, happiness and troubles…

But, hey! we’re not intrusive owners, so please, don’t think we will bother you with our presence at anytime!

We’re happy to spend some time with you, if you want. But I think that the respect of the privacy is the most important thing to make you feel like home.
